According to latest new from the below source Google's Chromecast will rolling out with its first software update by Wednesday. Its not a major update but we can expect that the update will bring performance and stability improvements.
Ambarish Kenghe, Chromecast Product Manager in a blog post stated that “Today, we are pushing a bug fix update to Chromecast devices to improve performance, reliability and security. The update will roll out over the next few days and will happen automatically; users do not need to take any action.”
