It's Rhapsody for Apple iPad and Apple iPad mini users, while Android gets an updated version

Rhapsody, the digital music provider, has launched an app for the Apple iPad and the Apple iPad mini that takes advantage of the larger sized screen on the tablets. The free app gives users access to the Rhapsody library of 16 million tunes in over 600 genres. Playlists that are created on the slate can be listened to off-line, without an internet connection. The new app was built from scratch, just like your grandma's tollhouse cookies, and uses the Apple iPad's internal speakers or earphone jack. You can also use Airplay or Bluetooth to listen to your tunes on an external speaker.

The app, which is offered with no ads, lets you see member created playlists and every Tuesday new releases come out. And Rhapsody didn't forget you Android users either. A new Android app was recently made available from the Google Play Store that includes a feature called Replay. Replay figures out what you've been listening to all day, and comes up with song selections based on your listening pattern.

The new Apple iPad and Apple iPad mini Rhapsody app is available in the Apple App Store. If you're not a Rhapsody subscriber, you can try out the service for free during a 30 day trial.
