Samsung Galaxy Note II gets a minor OS upgrade

Samsung has started providing Android 4.1.2 upgrade to the international variant of the handset Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100). With this upgrade the 5.5 inch smartphone becomes the first Samsung smartphone to get the Jelly Bean upgrade.

This update comes with improved features like a customized notification panel along with swype style typing. Samsung has provided the feature of disabling Multi View as well along with this update. The lock screen gets a new ink effect along with new items in the notification toggles with this upgrade.

The Brightness slider in the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was one feature in the notification panel that was covering up lots of space and customers were not able to remove it. With this upgrade you can disable the Brightness slider from the Notification Panel.

The upgrade will be launched in gradual phases so you might have to wait a while depending upon the carrier service provider.
