Samsung Galaxy Young DUOS (GT-S6312) expected to launch at the MWC 2013

Being one of the world’s leading electronics companies and notable for its high-end innovative handsets, Samsung seems ready to provide mid- to low-end handsets next year to expand its market share. Among these handsets will be the Samsung Galaxy Young Duos (model number GT-S6312) which will reportedly come in two colors: grayish blue and white. It is set to be officially introduced in February at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 in Barcelona, Spain according to reports.

Samsung Galaxy Y Duos

The handset is the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Y DUOS (GT-S6102) which was introduced last year. However, images of the Galaxy Young Duos S6312 are still unavailable as well as its specs. But it is expected to be more advanced than the Galaxy Y Duos S6102′s features. The latter was packed with a 3.14-inch QVGA display with 127ppi pixel density, 832MHz single-core processor, 3.2MP camera, and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The Galaxy Young Duos, on the other hand, will possibly run on Android 4.0 or 4.1 and may come with bigger and better display technology. Taking into consideration the trend in today’s smartphone manufacturing, Samsung may give this device, at least, a 1.2GHz processor. Its brand name may confuse Samsung fans as it goes by the name of its predecessor.

Meanwhile, Samsung also announced Galaxy Grand i9080 and Galaxy Grand Duos i9082, which will be introduced in the market by the first quarter next year, earlier this week. These handsets come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, dual-core processors, 8MP camera, and displays of 5 inch WVGA with 187ppi pixel density.

Moreover, Samsung has recently introduced some dual SIM handsets such as the Galaxy S Duos S7562, Galaxy Pocket Duos S5302, Galaxy Music Duos, Galaxy Y Pro Duos B5512, and the Galaxy Ace Duos S6802. It shows Samsung’s desperate measure to regain its dominance in entry- and mid-level markets by offering budget-friendly devices with decent specs.

The Samsung Galaxy Young DUOS with dual-SIM capability will be perfectly positioned in the emerging market, but expected not to crash in the states knowing the fact the dual-SIM models received no positive reviews from US consumers in general.

Samsung is dedicated in making every consumer’s life better by providing its innovative, high-quality and competitive products across the globe. This actually gave the company a good reputation in the global mobile market. With its series of budget-friendly handsets set to be released in 2013, there would be no question that the company will claim a bigger piece of the pie.
