An end of an era for Nokia

From the latest report, Nokia confirms that the Nokia Pure View 808 was there last symbian phone. Amongst 22 mentions of Symbian in its earning report, a short blurb from the Finnish phone maker put their former platform to rest:

“During our transition to Windows Phone through 2012, we continued to ship devices based on Symbian,” the company wrote. “The Nokia 808 PureView, a device which showcases our imaging capabilities and which came to market in mid-2012, was the last Symbian device from Nokia.”

As we know that symbian was a much-loved OS for a long time, but now had a fitting end in the spotlight, powering an amazing 41MP camera in the 808 PureView.
