ZTE gets license to use Microsoft's Android and Chrome OS patents


Just a week back, Microsoft agreed with Hon Hai to license its Android and Chrome OS patent portfolio to the manufacturer. And  now ZTE signed patent license agreements with Microsoft.

According to this agreement ZTE got license to use Microsoft's Android and Chrome OS patents and moreover the agreement grants the Chinese smartphone maker license to its “worldwide patent portfolio.”

For securing intellectual property for its products, Microsoft has paid over $4 billion in the last ten years. Some says that its a best and balanced approach which has lead to success.The company wraps up by mentioning that a few global businesses are still holding out from getting a license.
