Earlier, when glimpse of Koush’s back up application came some features was missing and to use it one needed to root it but now there is no longer that case.
Its both version are now available in Google Play Store (i.e ad-supported and premium versions). The ad-free version is priced at $4.99 but from my side I suggest you to try the free ad-supported version beside of throwing money on back-up application.
And, the premium version will give you access to features like backups in the cloud and Android to Android sync, which is pretty nifty if you want to keep your apps between your phone and tablet synced up.
Both the apps are available only for Android 4.0 or above.
