Chinese manufacturers are trying hard to move away from their knock-off maker reputation. Meanwhile, those outside the country are busy implementing features that most phones in China wouldn’t be caught dead without, like dual-SIM card support. We’ve seen Samsung releasing many dual-SIM phones before, but the next one, if accurate, should take the cake as the most high-profile device to ship with one.
It appears Samsung is readying a special version of the recently announced Galaxy Note 2 for the Chinese market. The next-generation phablet that will be offered there will come with not one, but TWO slots to place your SIM card(s) in. There’s one slot for a micro SIM, and the other one for a normal-sized card. Since you’re probably going to go all “pics or it didn’t happen” on us, here’s a pictorial evidence of the multi-SIM Galaxy Note 2 for you to gawk at.
The other specs of the Galaxy Note 2 (dual-SIM remix) should remain the same: 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, quad-core 1.6GHz Exynos processor, 2GB RAM, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera, and Jelly Bean.
We know that April is still months away for this one to be a complete hoax, but we’re still going to tread carefully on this purported dual-SIM, dual-standby Samsung Galaxy Note 2, at least until we get some confirmation straight from the horse’s mouth.
