Sprint's latest television spot for the Samsung Galaxy S III shows off the S Beam feature on the phone in a very emotional way. Watching the life of a young girl pass in front of your eyes shows the dramatic use of photography. More importantly for owners of the device, it shows off the S Beam feature which allows videos, to be shared simply by tapping two S Beam enabled devices together. It's a clever way to show off the feature.
Being an ad for Sprint as well, you would expect that the carrier's unlimited data plan would somehow be worked into the spot, and it is. Perhaps watching a human life go from birth to 12 years old isn't the typical thing you'd find in a smartphone ad and might be suited more for a greeting card spot or commercial touting long distance service. But you don't sell 20 million units of anything without making a connection to the world's heart and mind and obviously the Samsung Galaxy S III has made that connection.
