HTC One finally launched in India for Rs.42,900

Finally after a lot of wait, HTC finally revealed its HTC One smartphone in India. The Taiwanese smartphone maker organised two events to launch the smartphone, one was in Delhi and the other was in Mumbai. The device has been seen on some Indian e-commerce sites priced at 42,900 INR.

HTC One will pack a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with a 4.7-inch screen with 1080p display. Its connectivity include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, Infrared and Micro-USB. With a 2GB of RAM the smartphone will run on an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS along with a brand new Sense UI. The smartphone is coming with a 32GB of non-expandable storage but no words HTC about when 64GB variant will hit Indian stores.

The phone was actually slated to to go on sale from end of April but the reason for its delay was the component shortages including that of camera parts and metal casings. And despite having these problems HTC has managed to sell over five million units of HTC One.

The launch of HTC One will may effect the sale of recently launched smartphones Samsung Galaxy S4 and Apple's iPhone 5.
