Instagram now has 130 million monthly users

Instagram few months back hit the mark of 100 million monthly users and now it has touched the mark of 130 million monthly active users. Instagram's co-founder Kevin Systrom yesterday announced this statistics of the photo-sharing service.

Facebook announced Instagram’s video shooting feature due to which the numbers are only bound to rise. The service enabled to shoot 15 second long videos as an update to the apps yesterday. Instagram will let you choose from 13 filters to add to your video and share them with your friends.

Along with all that Systrom also said that the Instagram users have shared over 16 billion pictures since it launched about two and a half years ago, and its users register 1 billion "likes" every day. Of course, that's not enough for Instagram — the company hopes it'll increase engagement even more with its brand-new video sharing feature.
