People craving a compact and affordable touch-screen Android phone available without contract may find a friend in the Samsung Galaxy Rush. Costing $149.99, this tiny handset may not thrill Android power users with its modest specs. The phone features a 3.5-inch touch screen, 3-megapixel main camera, and 1.3-megapixel front-facing image sensor. What's interesting, though, is that the Galaxy Rush brings the modern Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system to the table.
Outlook
I certainly wasn't blown away by the Samsung Galaxy Rush at Boost Mobile and Samsung's launch event. After taking the phone for a spin, I can say the device certainly doesn't handle its powerful OS with blinding speed. Still, the handset offers a basic level of Android performance at a price and on terms many people beyond typical early adopters can swallow. Also, the fact that the Galaxy Rush is available with Boost Mobile's $55 Monthly Unlimited plan makes it even more enticing.
