The previously reported Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q will not be hitting the market as T-Mobile is preparing for the launch for Galaxy S Relay 4G which is basically the same device with different name. A blog dedicated to delivering latest news from carrier T-Mobile published a leaked training document a couple of days ago showing Galaxy S Relay 4G getting ready for official unveiling on still undisclosed date.
TMO News people managed to spot the possible release date of Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q through the press shot released by T-Mobile. The date is mentioned in the clock and weather widget on the phone. Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Q, an Android powered slider with a physical QWERTY keyboard, was originally thought to be launched last August 15, but it was postponed. And it was found out yesterday that T-Mobile has decided to rename the upcoming Galaxy S Blaze Q.
This device has been delayed and renamed by T-Mobile to The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G. There has been a speculation that the name change is the reason for the delay. The good thing about this change is that smart phone gets rid of that awkward naming scheme, yet Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G is going to be called equally hard to remember.
Despite of the name change, the hardware remains the same. It is going to be the most powerful physical slide-out QWERTY, a 1.5GHZ dual-core processor, a 4-inch 720 display, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that will probably be expandable. It also comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich installed, but sometime after its launch, there are chances that it will get a jelly Bean update. There have been reports from TMONews that the type of processor the Relay 4G comes with is unknown, but they believed that it’s an S4.
So far, there is still no specific date as to when this device will be launched by T-Mobile. The pricing as well is yet to be confirmed. Obviously, plenty of Samsung users are more than excited to get their hands on a 4G slide. But then again, all these people can do for now is hope and wait for the launching soon.
