What can you expect from the Korean electronics at the press conference that will be held on this August? A Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 would be available worldwide by the end of this month. Many popular sources have got invitation to an event that’ll take place on 15th of August right here in the United States well ahead of IFA 2012 that will take place later this month. Well, the invite appears to tease is a whole new form factor for the Samsung Galaxy Note series – perhaps the 10.1 Galaxy Note tablet.
Samsung is fixed the date and set for a new Galaxy Note launch at the event announcement on 15th, perhaps would be 5.5-inch Galaxy Note phablet? Or A 10.1-inch Note N8000 Android tablet? It is said, Samsung will launch a full-fat tablet follow-up to its Samsung Galaxy Note hybrid phone-tablet device but will replace the 5.3-inch display with a 10.1-inch touchscreen. But, Samsung did not specify the exact date the device would go on sale in different markets
The Note 10.1 looks similar to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and obviously has the same-sized display, it comes with the addition of the ‘S’ Stylus for quick notes or sketches found in the 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note handset. Simon Stafford, vice president of the telecommunications and networks division at Samsung UK and Ireland, said in a statement on Monday:
“The Galaxy Note 10.1 is a product we are very excited about and will offer our customers a new way to use and experience a tablet device. As well as being able to consume content such as videos, photos, document and the internet, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also gives them the power to produce, create and customise that same content,”
The new Galaxy Note tablet will arrive running the Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android (4.0). Samsung hinted, but did not specifically confirm yet. It would be bringing the newer Jelly Bean version of Android to the tablet in the future.
About Galaxy Note 10.1 – the device packs a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, giving it some of the best hardware specs of any Android tablet. The S Pen is integrated in its own dedicated slot and when removed, activates apps specifically designed to make use of the input, such as launching the S Note, S Planner, Crayon physics, Adobe Photoshop Touch or Polaris Office applications.
The latest flagship device will be coming with lots more borrowed features from the Samsung Galaxy S III, for example, the Smart Stay feature that detects when an user is looking at the screen and prevents it from switching off, or the AllShare Play or AllShare Group Cast features for sharing content and documents.
This version will likely enter the states with a built-in holder for the S-Pen like the Galaxy Note device already on the market. Other hardware features of the device include a 1.9-megapixel forward-facing camera for video calling and another 5-megapixel camera on the rear. The tablet will be available in 16, 32 or 64GB variants and will also support external MicroSD card storage up to 64GB additionally.
