Many of you when picked up their Lumia 920 didn't got the color which they had in their mind. As at that time there was a limited selection and you have selected from that limited selection. May be you wanted Cyan or Yellow to stand out from the crowd. And those who had black color lumia 920 and want the yellow one now can throw on a case and get a new color but by doing so you'll loose the beautiful industrial design Nokia Lumia 920.
A Reddit user lego_hobbit just did the same, he just transform its black Lumia 920 into head-snapping yellow. He had the shell from the eBay and transform his Lumia 920, not only yellow but shell is also available in red, black and white color variants. The cost of the shell has now raised to $49 .
The process of transformation is simple if you're at ease with taking apart electronic devices like smartphones if not then see this video. Now you just have to change the pieces which are identical to that of black one. The shell which you will had from eBay will not contain the wireless charging coil and the headphone port which are the only two things which needed to swapped.
Now we are done! The result is a yellow Lumia 920.
The user also reported that the phone no longer creaks and the volume button doesn’t “snap”.
