HP SlateBook X2 poised to release in August





HP's SlateBook X2 which was announced last month is now poised to release in August- said Hewlett-Packard. Its the first Android powered laptop from HP. This laptop will purportedly hit US stores in August but will hit European stores in July.

According to a report from the below source "the SlateBook x2 will be released in the US sometime in August, and it looks like it's going to hit shelves a bit earlier in Europe."  Along with it they also mentioned that its price will start from €449 – detachable keyboard dock (with a second battery) included.

HP SlateBook X2  is the 1st detachable tablet and is lightweight tablet that uses the latest Android OS. The best thing is it has a dual battery system-one in base and one in tablet, so users can easily switch from notebook to tablet.

10.1-inch HP SlateBook X2 powers an Android 4.2.2 jelly bean OS with a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen display. It includes 64 MB of storage and DTS Sound+ Solution for accessing and enjoying photos, music and videos. Under the hood, the laptop will house a NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core processor . And it will pack a 1080p rear-facing camera and a front-facing HP TrueVision 720p webcam.

The device will be priced at $479.99 and will available in two variants: snow white and smoke silver.
