T-Mobile launches unlimited “4G” data plan

T-Mobile on Wednesday launched its Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan, which it claims are a first for the industry. Outlined last month, the plans don't have any associated overage fees, throttling, or caps. The plans can be added to customers' current voice and text plans.

The prices start at $20 per month when being added to a $50-per-month Value voice and text plan or $30 per month on top of a $70-per-month Classic voice and text plan.

Interested parties can visit their local T-Mobile store now or visit the carrier's dedicated webpage for more information on the plans.

The company relies on HSPA+ technology for the plans, however, as T-Mobile doesn't have a true 4G LTE network. It does promise download speeds of up to 42Mbps.

T-Mobile also promises to drop the price of the HTC One S to mark the occasion, with a $50 mail-in rebate on a two-year agreement that will make the handset effectively free.
