Samsung has just sent out an email about a press conference Aug. 15 and it will be revealing the "newest Galaxy device."
What could it be? Well, there has been a lot of scuttlebutt about the Galaxy Note 2, and many expect it to launch in October, so an August introduction would make sense. This is expected to be a beast of a phone, with a 5.5-inch 720p display, a quad-core processor, a stylus, 4G LTE and all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a high-end device.
Engadget suggests it could be the Galaxy S Blaze Q or maybe it could be the "Jasper." I really hope it's the Jasper because this Verizon-bound device is expected to be quite a powerful follow-up to the DROID Charge.
Another possibility is that Samsung will finally release the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, which was introduced in February at Mobile World Congress. This tablet has a dual-core, 1.4GHz Exynos processor, 1GB of RAM, multiple cameras and it is also compatible with Samsung's capacitive stylus.
We'll know a whole lot more in a few weeks, so stay tuned.
