Google recently announced the next version of Android, 4.1 Jelly Bean, at their Google I/O 2012 conference in San Francisco.
The Android maker also announced that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS would initially roll out for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S and Motorola Xoom devices sometime in mid-July.
However, the Android developers have already started working on porting the unofficial Jelly Bean ROMs on Nexus devices and now it has come to HTC One X too.
Shortly after news surfaced online about the leaked Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROMs for the Verizon Wireless variant of Galaxy Nexus (both LTE and GSM), the Android developer community released a bootable Jelly Bean ROM for HTC's flagship smartphone, the One X. The news came from XDA Developers in the form of a thread in which a developer who goes by the name 'tgascoigne' released his port of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the One X.
