Back in March, we reported that the LG Optimus LTE2 was rumored to be making its way stateside under the VS930 model number. Now thanks to a recent FCC filing, it seems more likely than ever, or at the very least LG is looking for FCC clearance if and when they decide to launch the device. The handset appears destined for Verizon thanks to the “VS” in its model number, but more interestingly is that the FCC filing has uncovered that the handset has AT&T frequency bands alongside Verizon’s as well. Perhaps this could be an indication that we might be looking at another world phone on Verizon, much like the HTC Rezound.
Unfortunately still no word on when we will be able to see the device, but hopefully this FCC filing is an indication that we might not have to wait too long before Verizon officially announces it. For those wondering, the VS930 (assuming it is the stateside version of the Optimus LTE2) will feature a 4.7” 720p “True HD” IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM and will come with Android 4.0 with a new LG customized UI on top of it. It sounds like a pretty decent handset and one we wouldn’t mind getting our hands on!
