Have you been waiting to buy the awesome 41 mega pixel camera smart phone from Nokia, well, here is your chance. The company has announced that it will be releasing the awesome smart phone in the United States. That has to come as a surprise. That is because the Finnish smart phone giant was very clear in the beginning that it would not be selling the smart phone in the United States, and is because of the operating system it is running.
The Nokia Pure View 808 runs on a newer version of the Symbian operating system. Symbian, Nokia’s own mobile operating system, has not made a good name for itself in the United States market. This is because the operating system does not offer a lot of productivity features as compared to the iPhone or the Android, and the people in the United States crave for power and productivity in the smart phones.
In any case, the smart phone will be sold unlocked, so expect to pay some really high price. None of the United States carriers seem to be ready to bring in a Symbian smart phone to the table. Well, that is understandable. The smart phone, as announced, will be distributed by Amazon through its online store. And as usual, you will be able to pre order yours as well, which are expected to start sometime later this week. So keep your eyes open for the announcement on Amazon’s web site.
If you want more, you can sign up on Nokia’s web site for further notifications. And the rumors say that the Nokia Pure View 808 will be compatible with AT&T’s 3G network. It would be really annoying if you buy this smart phone and are not able to use any 3G service. But the reports say that the Nokia Pure View 808 will support AT&T’s 3G for sure. Coming to the price, it is expected to be somewhere around $699. A high price to pay for those extra mega pixels. Would you be buying this?
