Sony Xperia Mint rumors

It is always exciting to write about flagship devices, because they are normally high end devices and always have something special that makes them stand out of the general crowd. This time it’s a flag ship device from Sony, the Sony Xperia LT30p Mint nicknamed as Xperia Mint. The Mint is comes with the iconic Xperia design as well as a 13-megapixel camera.

Few weeks ago, some details about few upcoming Xperia devices emerged, out of which one was called as Mint and was said to be a flagship device of Sony. Now, few more hardware details about the device have been leaked from a trusted source, though none of them has been confirmed officially.

Sony Xperia LT30p is said to have 4.6-inch HD capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 720 x 1280, 1 gig of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using the microSD slot. A Snapdragon S4 processor is said to run the show, however, it is not yet known whether the device will be using dual core or quad core variant of the processor. The phone is expected to have a dedicated camera shutter key that will control a 13-megapixel rear camera with Exmor R sensor which can apparently capture 1080p HD videos. The screen will come with a healthy pixel density as high as 319 ppi.

Most of the newer midrange Xperia devices are supporting NFC, and it isn’t surprising that the Xperia Mint will also have NFC support. Initially it will be launched with Android 4.0 ICS, but Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will come to the device as an upgrade down the road. The styling is similar to iconic Xperia Arc design. There are capacitive buttons at the bottom of the device. Though parts of the device are made from plastic, like all the Xperia devices, Mint will also have a rubberized coating over plastic parts which are nice to touch. Also, most of the recently launched Xperia devices come with non-removable batteries for strange reason, and Mint is no exception.

Sony Xperia LT30p Mint is anticipated in the second half of this year. It was previously rumored to launch in September, but the same hasn’t been confirmed by the company. The 13 megapixel camera brings great appeal to device. Let us know your thoughts using the comment form below.
