HTC One S now $149.99 at T-Mobile through August 21

T-Mobile’s HTC One S has not been a star, really, especially with the stiffening competition in the smartphone market. It is however so surprising for T-Mobile to slash down its price to $149 in a ‘special offer’, supposedly to boost its sales and bring the HTC name back to T-Mo’s best seller list. People who have always wanted to have this sleek 4.3-incher have two weeks to grab it before the offer season expires. It is likely though that T-Mobile may put up another high end HTC phone on offer, maybe HTC One X+ on offer sometime after this offer ends.

If the latest rumors are anything to go by, the One X+ has a quad-core 1.7GHz Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS as well as a full HD 1280 X 720 pixels resolution. This new addition to the HTC family certainly performs way better than the One S and One X and is likely to sell at a higher price than the One S and X and may even perform better in terms of sales.

If you are considering going for the One S, you should know the core specs. It runs on a dual core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED 960 X 540 screen, 1GB RAM, 4G LTE capability, an 8MP rear camera and 16GB in-built memory and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

In order to get the One S for the new price of $149.99, you will need to sign up for a new two year contract and choose one of T-Mobile’s individual monthly plans that start from $39.99. With the offer comes a mail-in rebate and a waiver of the $35 activation fee (you only get this till August 12th though).

Will you be grabbing this chance or you will wait for the release of the rumored One X+? Let us know in the comments below.
