Skype has launched official version 1.2 of its Skype app for Windows Mobile in the Windows Marketplace which offers some new features and bug fixes. The new Skype app version 1.2 will work great with Windows 7.5 Mango and higher.
Some of the new features are the inclusion of phonebook contacts ( with minimum 1 phone number entry ) into the Skype contacts and the dial pad allows the editing of numerals before making a call to any person.
The official Skype blog spot has a post which states:
Today, we have released an update to of Skype for Windows Phone”
“Download the updated version now, and let us know how you like it in the Skype Support Network.”
Some problems faced by the users of Skype’s previous version of app have also been fixed. The notifications from the calendar or a new call on phone will not disturb an ongoing Skype call. The messages sent to any user on list will be marked with a special sign if they are still unread by the receiver. The problem of sudden hanging up of calls is also been tried to be fixed.
Some problems like ending up of Skype call on receiving a phone call have also been fixed. The applicationworks on 3G and WiFi and can be used to call landlines as well. The video conferencing using either primary or secondary camera is possible. The new 1.2 version of the Skype app for Windows Mobile isavailable for free at Windows Marketplace
