HTC One S gets Jelly Bean update in Europe

HTC has started pushing out Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update to One S users in Europe. We’re not sure whether this is a pan-European rollout or just something that targets certain markets, but we do know some users got it. And they say you should better be connected to a fast hotspot to download the 612MB-heavy file that will bring software version up to 3.16.401.8.

Aside from the latest features included in Jelly Bean, there’s also the new HTC Sense 4+, as well as a number of software improvements. For instance, users say the UI has been enhanced and the camera app is now faster. Moreover, you’ll see a new landing page, event/map view in gallery, while your phone should work for longer hours due to power management improvements.
In other words, you’ll want to update as soon as your phone prompts you to do so. If nothing has happened, hop over to Settings -> About phone -> System updates and see if you can find the latest version there. Good luck.
