From last few days, Rumors were all about Sony Yuga. Now, adding to it a new rumor has arrived that Sony Yuga will be launched as Sony Z soon.
The new Xperia Z is rumored to have a 5 inch 1080p of display with 443 ppi. This phone is reported to have certification for Water & Dust proof. The detailed specification is not known yet but is expected to have Sony's Opticontrast display which is used in Sony's LCD & LED. And is also being used in Xperia acro S and Xperia V. This feature reduces glare from the screen.
The Xperia Z will compete with HTC Butterfly, which also carries Dustproof & Waterproof certification and also possesses 5 inch full HD 1080p screen. It can have glass-back as seen earlier in Apple's iPhone 4 & iPhone 4S.
This phone will be measuring 139 x 71 x 7.9mm, making it a compact slim phone.
The Xperia Z is rumored to run on latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and beneath to be powered by Quad Core 1.5GHz krait Processor with Snapdragon S4 Pro Chipset, Adreno 320 GPU with 2GB RAM.
It may have a 12 megapixel Rear camera for photography purposes and may carry 16GB of inbuilt storage and fueled by 1600mAh battery.
Its Connectivity features’ list may include micro-USB, Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE and NFC.
Currently, there are no official reports been published by Sony but Sony Xperia Z may be launched at CES 2013 at Las Vegas or during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the end of Feb 2
