Those who are looking to purchase a Samsung Galaxy S III Mini in Asia or more specifically, Indonesia and Vietnam, will be ecstatic to hear that Samsung has started pre-installing Android 4.1.2 on the smartphone. The device was originally loaded with Android 4.1.1. In general, Android 4.1.2 isn’t a huge update. There is a few bug fixes, some added features, and that is about it. Samsung has been doing something different with Android 4.1.2 for their Galaxy devices though. In most cases, most updates to Android 4.1.2 have included the company’s Premium Suite.
All that said, Galaxy S III Mini users can expect to see a plethora of new features like Multi Window, Paper Artist, Smart Rotation, Page Buddy and a whole slew of other features.
The Samsung Galaxy S III Mini released back in October in order to compete with the iPhone 5 and was also another option for those who did not like the size of the larger Galaxy S III. Unfortunately the device will not make its way to the U.S., as Samsung never had plans to do that. Not only that, but Apple recently dropped patent claims against the device since it would not be sold in the U.S. market. Then again, a mere lawsuit never stopped Samsung from releasing anything in the U.S., so it is accurate to assume that Samsung never had plans to release the device in the U.S.
