There is a lot to love about the newly-announced LG Optimus G. For starters, it is equipped with the very capable quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chip by Qualcomm, which, to no surprise, is shaping up to be a true heavyweight performer, judging by those benchmark results. Then we have the 4.7” WXGA (1280 x 768) True HD IPS display, which impressed us with its clarity and crispness while we were doing our Optimus G hands-on. All those goodies, including a 13-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,100mAh battery are enclosed inside a body sporting LG’s patented Crystal Reflection finish.
But in case you're wondering what's included in the smartphone's retail box, here we have the answer in our LG Optimus G unboxing video. First thing that gets revealed is, unsurprisingly, the smartphone itself, with the usual set of accessories neatly organized underneath - a stereo headset with in-ear headphones, wall charger, and a microUSB cable. In addition, an extraction tool has been included for ejecting the SIM card tray.
Note that the LG Optimus G we are handling in the video is the white model, which will be available in Korea. However, it is likely that the smartphone will be available in black only upon launching in the U.S. in Europe, or at least initially. Speaking of which, the Optimus G is scheduled to launch in Korea before September is out, followed by a release in Japan in October, and an international rollout afterwards. At this time, there is no word regarding U.S. availability of the LG Optimus G.
