Huawei to launch multiple Windows Phone devices

Huawei has made it to the news many times this month. Being a China based networking and telecommunications equipment supplier, it has some nice phones with its own branding in the market. Apparently, the company is the second largest supplier of mobile
telecommunications infrastructure equipment in the world, so by all means the mobile tower your phone is connected to right now will most probably have equipment from this company. Ever since Microsoft’s next gen mobile operating system, Windows Phone 8, was announced, Huawei has been keen on joining the party.

Huawei will be of course launching few Windows Phone 8 handsets. Also, it should be noted Huawei is one among the four strategic cooperation partners at Microsoft for Windows Phone 8 global mobile phone. The other three partners include Nokia, Samsung and HTC. Being a strategic partner, we expect Huawei to launch some great phone, and we’re sure something is cooking.

We had some news about the new phone which will be called as Huawei Ascend W1, and the word had it that it would be launched as early as September 25. It was said that Huawei will be focusing on budget conscious buyers with the Huawei Ascend W1. The new Windows Phone 8 Lumia devices, namely the Lumia 820 and 920 are pretty high end phones, so obviously it’s a no go for buyers with not-so-deep pocket. Now here’s a new news about Huawei. It is said that Huawei will be launching not just one, but two brand new Windows Phone 8 devices at the media event on Sept. 25th. The new handset will be supposedly called as Huawei Ascend W2, and will be equipped with hardware features that will place the device in the league of devices such as Lumia 920 and HTC 8X.The Nokia Lumia 920 comes with a 4.5 inch HD display, 32GB of onboard storage and 1 gig of RAM. The show will be run by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960. The HTC 8X on the other hand will be sporting a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 Ghz, though there’s no information on the brand or chipset being used. Coupled with 1 gig RAM and 16 gig ROM, the phone should be snappy.

Each of the phones mentioned above has something special that sets it apart from others. The Lumia 920 uses PureView technology for the camera. No, it’s not the 41 megapixel camera seen on PureView 808, but an 8 megapixel camera. Nevertheless, Nokia promises it to deliver high quality photos. The HTC 8X is a device for media fanatics. It has a 2.55v amplifier that can push the device’s speaker or any enhancement connected to the device to its limits, and it actually manages to do it (Read: HTC Windows Phone 8X audio amplifier demoed).

If Huawei wants to make its phone popular, the phone better have some special feature which other devices don’t have. We’re excited about what it’s going to be. Are you? Let us know your thoughts using the comment form below.
